Une sorte de « bicéphalisme » prévaut dans l’enseignement privé protestant depuis deux mois. En effet, une décision interne à l’Église Évangélique s’oppose à un décret présidentiel.
Pour comprendre la situation, les responsables de l’Église Évangélique du Gabon auraient élevé certaines personnes aux postes de responsabilité dans l’enseignement, pendant qu’un décret du Président de la République portant mesures individuelles au profit d’autres agents de l’État régulièrement en service dans cet ordre d’enseignement, avait été rendu public lors du Conseil des Ministres du 1er septembre 2022 .
Seulement, on observe que ce sont des personnes nommées par l’église qui occupent les bureaux de cette institution scolaire d’enseignement privé confessionnel, au détriment des promus en Conseil des Ministres. Depuis la rentrée scolaire 2022-2023, l’EEG affirmerait ainsi son opposition farouche à l’égard des nominations issues du conseils des ministres du 1er septembre 2022, bafouant par conséquent la décision et donc, l’autorité des plus hautes personnalités du pays.
Dans ce cas de figure, ne peut-on pas parler d’usurpation de fonctions vu que certains responsables non reconnus par l’État exercent allègrement? N’y a t-il pas à craindre pour les candidats aux prochains examens? Pourquoi la séparation des responsabilités donnant le pouvoir à la présidence de l’EEG pour des questions de foi et de spiritualité, et celles liées à l’organisation et l’enseignement avec plein pouvoir à l’État qui rappelons-le, paie les personnels de l’enseignement privé protestant a du mal à être faite? Existe t-il une décision au dessus d’un décret présidentiel?
Au regard des faits, tout porte à croire qu’on est là face à une situation de défiance de l’autorité de l’État. C’est donc un bras de fer que l’EEG impose à l’État gabonais et si cette situation inédite venait à perdurer, serait-elle sans dommages tant pour l’État que pour l’église évangélique du Gabon ?
Rappelons que du Directeur Général de l’Enseignement Privé Protestant, aux Directeurs d’écoles primaires, en passant par les Chefs et autres Responsables d’établissements secondaires relevant de cet ordre d’enseignement sur l’étendue du territoire, la réalité est la même: une situation qui devrait interpeller l’État gabonais via le ministère de l’Éducation Nationale pour plus de justice et d’équité, en vue de la préservation de la paix sociale tant chère au Chef de l’État.

Autrement dit, ces personnels sont des agents publics permanents ayant les avantages de solde que ceux exerçant dans les services publics de l’enseignement.
À ce titre, ne serait-il pas judicieux de clarifier le partenariat entre l’État gabonais et l’Eglise évangélique d’une part, et d’autre part avec les organisations des enseignements dites confessionnelles, pour éviter ce qui semble à la lecture de cet article un imbroglio ?
Toutefois, dans un passé proche du présent, les nominations en conseil des ministres des personnalités de l’administration de l’enseignement privé protestant n’ont jamais souffert de contestation de la part du présidium de cette congrégation religieuse. Pourquoi ce précèdent ? Il y a-t-il, comme dans le passé au sein de cette congrégation encore un problème de leadership ?
Cette situation suscite un questionnement.
