Le Gabon désormais membre de « l’Inter-Association of the 4th Power », une aubaine pour le monde médiatique du pays dont les acteurs ne sont pas toujours fédérés. Pourtant détentrice du 4ème pouvoir, la presse exerce-t-elle réellement ce dernier ? Pour lui redonner ses lettres de noblesses, cette nouvelle plateforme internationale arrive donc à point nommé.
Lançant officiellement les travaux de ladite plateforme, le Président national Rodrigue Maïssa Nkoma n’a pas caché sa joie : « Je suis très heureux du lancement du 4th Power au Gabon et c’est une satisfaction puisque les débats ont convergé, nous pensons que l’enfant est né pour maintenant qu’il grandisse, qu’il marche, nous avons besoin de tout le monde », a-t-il déclaré d’entrée de jeu.
Devant les Présidents d’associations des médias du Gabon, il était de bons alois de mieux présenter le mouvement et ses missions : « Le 4th Power est une inter-association qui regroupe plusieurs associations de la corporation. Le but visé ici est de fédérer la corporation sur les idéaux de paix cadrant avec l’éthique et la déontologie, en insistant aussi sur les formations. Le lancement de l’antenne du Gabon permettra non seulement de fédérer les communicateurs sur le plan national, mais aussi de participer au concert des nations dans le métier que nous avons choisi : celui de la communication », a précisé le président national.
Le Gabon étant à la veille d’un évènement qui engage tout le peuple (les prochaines élections de 2023), les journalistes doivent donc bénéficier d’un renforcement des capacités comme l’a annoncé Rodrigue Maïssa Nkoma : « il faut former les journalistes, rappeler aux uns et aux autres le rôle à jouer et on ne peut le faire qu’ensemble ; et je pense que c’est le rôle que va jouer cette inter-association des médias ».
Avec pour crédo « Crédibilité et Professionnalisme », il faut reconnaitre que « le métier de communicateur ou de journaliste est noble et la noblesse passe par la crédibilité et la Professionnalisme, j’entends par là le respect de la déontologie. Savoir exercer son métier c’est cela le professionnalisme, apprendre des aînés, poser des actions qui siéent à la circonstance sans porter atteinte à l’intégrité physique, morale ou corporelle, là je parle du code de la Communication, ce sont les leitmotivs de cette inter-association : c’est-à-dire à la crédibilité et le professionnalisme que nous prônons ».
Le célèbre Jérémie Gustave Nzamba d’Africa N°1 en sa qualité d’aîné dans la corporation faisant partie du collège des Conseillers stratégiques a dit mettre au service de l’organisation, sa compétence accumulée depuis de longues années :« du haut de mon âge, tout ce que je peux apporter c’est simplement l’expertise. Si à un moment donné il y a des points d’ombre, je peux me faire fort d’apporter de modestes éclaircissements, puisque nous parlons la de profession du 4ème pouvoir ».
Après présentation du bureau national, Rodrigue Maïssa Nkoma le Coordonnateur Général a émis le vœu de voir les pouvoirs publics accompagner cette plateforme dans l’exercice de ses missions, invitant par la même occasion, « ceux des confrères qui hésitent encore à rejoindre le 4th Power cette plateforme qui leur est dédiée pour qu’ensemble, nous puissions parler de notre métier, trouver des solutions ensemble, pour une communication professionnelle et crédible ».
C’est donc par un cocktail que les détenteurs du 4ème pouvoirs présents se sont séparés, promettant d’œuvrer sans relâche pour la réussite de cette organisation.
