« Il a été annoncé, il y a quelques jours, sur un média de service public, que le Secteur Pharmaceutique dans son ensemble n’accompagne pas, de manière suffisante, le développement de l’industrie pharmaceutique naissante au Gabon.
Face à ces publications inexactes, le Conseil National de I’Ordre (CNO) et le Syndicat des Pharmaciens du Gabon (SYPHARGA) tiennent à rappeler, à l’opinion nationale et Internationale que, en tant qu’acteur de la santé publique, leur seule volonté est de veiller au développement de toutes les activités pharmaceutiques, dans un cadre réglementaire adéquat, en vue de faciliter et garantir l’accessibilité (meilleur rapport coût/qualité) des patients aux médicaments et autres produits de santé (MAPS).
Dans ce cadre, en tant qu’acteurs majeurs du secteur pharmaceutique, nous confirmons inexactes et inadmissibles toutes les accusations qui sont faites à notre encontre et rappelons que notre engagement auprès des malades, en dépit d’une hausse des prix et des tensions d’approvisionnement des principes actifs à l’international depuis la pandémie de la Covid-19 n’est plus à démonter.
Concernant l’industrie au Gabon, les acteurs du secteur ont été parmi les principaux invités à nos dernière journées pharmaceutiques nationales de 2022 à Libreville. Les principaux freins sont liés à la taille du marché et non à l’implication des professionnels de santé.
Aussi, Permettez-nous pour finir, d’inviter les fabricants des MAPS qui exercent leurs activités sur le territoire national, à développer leurs activités de promotion en vue d’accroitre leur volume d’affaires.
Le développement de l’industrie pharmaceutique nationale passera par le maintien des normes de qualité ainsi que le développement des ventes des médicaments à l’étranger.
La profession de pharmacien (formation et exercice) est réglementée et régie par des textes de loi. Nous invitons tous les médias à se rassurer que les intervenants se présentant comme pharmaciens sont bien inscrits à l’ONPG.
