Prenant le cas spécifique du Gabon, le ministre de l’environnement chargé du Plan Climat, a précisé que « le Fonds gabonais d’investissement stratégique (FGIS) deviendra l’entité habilitée à échanger des crédits carbones à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur du Gabon. Une nouvelle qui vient renforcer la volonté du gouvernement gabonais d’apporter des solutions à l’action climatique, qui sera au cœur des négociations lors de la COP27. Un événement attendu durant lequel les résultats de la Semaine Africaine du climat 2022 seront partagées, afin de souligner l’importance de la collaboration régionale et de guider la mise en œuvre de l’Accord de Paris », a annoncé le Pr.
