Les relations bilatérales sur l’axe Libreville-Kigali, le renforcement et la redynamisation de cette coopération entre les deux pays ont été au centre des échanges entre les deux Chefs d’État. Durant l’entretien, les deux Présidents se sont félicités de l’excellence des relations historiques qui unissent le Gabon et le Rwanda.
Ils ont indiqué leur volonté de hisser à un niveau supérieur la coopération multiforme existant dans les domaines de l’ éducation, du commerce, de l’ économie, de l’agriculture, et des nouvelles technologies. Pour rappel, les deux pays membres de la Communauté économique des États de l’Afrique centrale (CEEAC) avaient signé en août 2022 un protocole d’accords visant à promouvoir et développer les secteurs économiques
prioritaires et la coopération en matière d’investissement .
Après ce tête à tête avec son homologue rwandais, le Général Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema s’est entretenu avec la Communauté Gabonaise du Rwanda ( CGR). Près de 400 compatriotes ont pris part à la rencontre dans ce pays ami et ont été édifiés sur les mécanismes mis en place par le CTRI pour la restauration des institutions de la République. Le collectif a saisi ces moments pour solliciter du Chef de l’État la création d’une représentation diplomatique ainsi qu’une meilleure prise en compte des aspects sécuritaires à l’endroit de la communauté.
En réponse à leurs préoccupations majeures, et au regard du nombre de ressortissants gabonais estimé à 1500 au Rwanda, le Président de la Transition a instruit le ministre des Affaires Étrangères de se pencher dans les plus brefs délais sur l’ouverture d’une ambassade à Kigali. Le Général Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema compte résoudre sur le long terme la question relative à l’octroi de bourses sollicité par la communauté estudiantine gabonaise.
