Accueilli avec ferveur et honneurs militaires, le Chef de l’État a eu un tête-à-tête fructueux et convivial avec son homologue. Entretien durant lequel ils ont passé en revue la collaboration entre leurs pays respectifs dans les domaines du commerce, du transport aérien et de l’échange de main d’œuvre pour lesquels ils ont signé des accords de partenariat depuis plusieurs années.
Une coopération que les deux autorités entendent renforcer et étendre dans d’autres secteurs tels que l’agriculture, l’énergie, les mines et le transport. Le Général Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema qui poursuit son périple explicatif dans la sous-région sur les ambitions du CTRI a réaffirmé une fois de plus sa volonté de maintenir et de raffermir les liens de coopération entre le Gabon et les nations amies, dont le Burundi.
Se félicitant de l’excellence des relations qui unissent leurs pays respectifs et saluant l’implication du Gabon dans le maintien de la Paix au Burundi par le passé, SE Evariste Ndayishimiye a exprimé le soutien des autorités et du peuple burundais au Gabon et son accompagnement dans le processus de Transition et de maintien de la paix.
A l’issue de cette entrevue, le Président de la République a communié avec la diaspora gabonaise du Burundi venue lui exprimer ses félicitations pour la mise en place du CTRI qui, a leur sens, a redonné espoir à de nombreux compatriotes de voir le Gabon sous de meilleurs auspices.
Au cours de ces échanges, la communauté gabonaise a tenu à interpeller le Chef de l’État sur la nécessité d’entamer des chantiers d’urgence liés notamment à la création d’emplois décents, au développement du secteur privé, des Nouvelles Technologies de l’information, d’une économie verte solide , et d’un capital humain outillé. Rassurant le Président de leur entière disponibilité pour participer au processus de reconstruction du pays, la diaspora de Bujumbura a appelé le Chef de l’État à développer une politique inclusive.
