Les ligues du Haut-Ogooué ; l’Ogooué Maritime et du Woleu-Ntem n’ayant pas toujours tenu leur assemblée générale élective : il faut apaiser les tensions. « Nous sommes tous en fin de mandat que ce soit la fédération ou les ligues. Pour apaiser les esprits des uns et des autres sur les conditions de participation aux élections, du fait des agissements le week-end écoulé sur l’Ogooué Ivindo où nous avons vu les agitations qui ont failli entraîner le report ou l’annulation des activités de la balle orange de ce côté-là… Nous avons également vu plusieurs, venir nous édifier au compte de la tutelle », a déploré Léopold EVAH.
Des actes nocifs pour ce sport, mais Le basket-ball étant un patrimoine de FIBA Afrique devenue One FIBA, cette discipline répond aux normes précises, « la fédération gabonaise est une fédération olympique donc des gens doivent savoir qu’il y’a deux types de fédérations : les fédérations olympiques qui dépendent du comité olympique en partenariat avec la tutelle, et il y’en a qui ne le sont pas et ne participent pas aux activités olympiques et chaque fédération a ses statuts et règlements » a recadré le Président de la FEGABAB qui, dans la perspectives des élections à venir a précisé, « Il est nécessaire que la tutelle s’imprègne des différents statuts et règlements de nos fédérations, afin qu’il y’ait toujours l’apaisement en période électorale, et si les uns et les autres veulent appuyer les candidats, il est souhaitable que cela se passe selon les règles de l’art, en utilisant les statuts dont nous disposons ».
Les ligues faisant partie des grands électeurs, il est plus qu’urgent qu’elles se conforment et pour les y aider, une dérogation spéciale a été accordée à deux ligues que sont celles du Haut-Ogooué et l’Ogooué Maritime pour tenir leur assemblée générale élective jusqu’au 7 novembre prochain sans quoi, elles ne seraient pas considérées pendant le scrutin, affirmera le président de la FEGABAB, Léopold EVAH qui ne sera pas candidat, à sa propre succession.
