Loin de faire un interminable commentaire, l’année scolaire écoulée n’aura pas été fameuse, tout comme les conditions de la rentrée scolaire de l’année en cours, du point de vue du SAEG ; une situation imputable au gouvernement avec pour antécédents : « les problèmes de régularisation des situations administratives (recrutements, intégrations, titularisations, avancements automatiques, reclassements après stage) ; le sempiternel problème des effectifs pléthoriques et l’insuffisance criarde des infrastructures scolaires qui plombent en réalité la qualité de l’enseignement dans notre pays ; la mise en branle effective des processus des formations, initiales ou continues des enseignants, ainsi que leur recrutement en quantité et en qualité suffisantes, conformément aux textes en vigueurs ».
Restant dans le chapitre des problèmes rencontrés, les « multiples accords royalement et consciemment ignorés depuis plus de trente (30) ans disions-nous, voire plus, par ces gouvernants ; le lancinant problème des arriérés de salaire impayés au Gabon, communément appelé les rappels solde, une véritable honte et une gangrène qui humilie le Gabon ».
Face à ce mal-être de l’école gabonaise, « nous demandons clairement au gouvernement que plutôt que de se contenter souvent des petites rencontres avec quelques leaders syndicaux, que l’on ouvre tel que le recommandent les normes internationales en la matière, de véritables négociations afin que l’on puisse s’accorder sur les maux qui minent le système éducatif actuellement, et surtout sur les alternatives immédiates qui peuvent sortir le système éducatif de son marasme actuel », a déclaré Jules Bibang Obounou, le Président du SAEG.
Le SAEG par la voix de son Président Jules Bibang Obounou a tout de même reconnu que des efforts ont été faits certes, même s’ils demeurent insignifiants : « il ne nous semble pas sage et suffisant de se satisfaire des quelques efforts accomplis ici et là, mais d’apprécier ces efforts dans un prisme plus large. Ce qui vous amènera inéluctablement vers des prises de décisions plus courageuses, et des actions plus osées »
Au regard des manquements observés, le SAEG invite ses adhérents à l’action pour éviter d’éventuelles surprises le moment venu : « au moment où tous les signaux sont au rouge par rapport à nos carrières, à nos vies et à celles de nos enfants, et à l’allure où vont les choses (surtout que plusieurs milliards, dans bientôt, suivez mon regard, vont être encore engloutis sans bénéfice pour nous), nous risquons de nous réveiller lorsqu’il sera trop tard ».
