Située dans la Zone Économique à régime Spéciale de Nkok (ZES de Nkok), « Africa View » la Première usine de fabrication de panneaux de particules de bois a été inauguré par Ali Bongo Ondimba en présence du président du Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.
Pour mieux comprendre les motivations de création de cette usine implantée au Gabon, l’on a appris ce ci: « dénommée « Africa View », cette usine permettra, grâce à la valorisation des déchets issus du processus de transformation du bois, autrefois brûlés, d’augmenter à hauteur de 95 % le taux d’utilisation du bois exploité au sein de la zone de Nkok et d’éviter ainsi tout gaspillage », a t-on appris pendant l’exposition.
Rappelant que la création de cette usine entre en droite ligne avec les ambitions et la volonté du Chef de l’État Ali Bongo Ondimba, Lee White le ministre gabonais des Eaux et Forêts a déclaré que « cette usine incarne la volonté du Gabon de concilier développement industriel, gestion durable des ressources naturelles et respect des engagements environnementaux et climatiques à l’échelle nationale et internationale ».
Par le biais de cette usine, des centaines d’emplois directs et indirects sont crées en vue de l’exploitation durable des forêts gabonaises, selon la vision de du Chef de l’État.
