Classée troisième en Afrique, « Santé Pharmaceutique » par sa production peut couvrir l’ensemble du territoire national en médicaments de qualité supérieure et à moindre coût. Seulement, depuis bientôt trois ans, les commandes chutent de manière drastique, présentant des relents de fermeture de cette entreprise qui emploie de nombreux gabonais dont le quotidien est désormais menacé.
Observation faite sur le terrain, les produits « Santé Pharmaceutique » sont difficilement prescrits par les praticiens aux patients : une organisation bien huilée visant à favoriser « les produits importés qui font une concurrence déloyale à la production locale ».
Or, un arrêté accordant l’exclusivité de vente de près de 21 produits de « Santé Pharmaceutique » sur le marché national avait été pris par l’ancien régime : décision qui n’a presque jamais été respectée. Conséquence, la production est faite, mais les commandes ne suivent pas et ces médicaments finissent par être périmés et détruits par la suite.
L’on se demande, à qui profite ce désordre, quand on sait que des centres de santé manquent de simples cachets de Paracétamol ?
Le ministère de la Santé, et tous les acteurs du médicament que sont l’Office pharmaceutique nationale (OPN), l’Agence du médicament et les distributeurs agréés doivent peser de leur poids pour remédier à cette injustice : ne pas le faire serait détruire les investissements nationaux au profit des lobbies voraces.
