En partenariat avec l’Association des albinos du Gabon, la Fondation Sylvia Bongo Ondimba (FSBO) pour la Famille a, le week-end écoulé, organisé un Atelier-Graine pour l’égalité dans l’objectif de lutter contre les stéréotypes dans la société gabonaise.
Avec pour thème : »L’égalité fille garçon, principe des droits humains », l’atelier avait pour but de traiter la problématique de l’éducation des enfants albinos sous l’angle de l’égalité permettant ainsi de lutter contre les stéréotypes basés sur le genre dès l’enfance.
C’est en raison de leur particularité que cet atelier a été organisé à l’endroit des albinos qui sont souvent victimes de marginalisation, de discrimination et parfois même de violences du fait de leur couleur de peau par la société.
En vue de parler de ce sujet et déconstruire certains préjugés, la Fondation Sylvia Bongo Ondimba pour la Famille entend, à cet effet, organiser le 13 juin prochain, une journée de sensibilisation à l’albinisme.
« Les albinos sont nos frères et nos sœurs. La seule différence tient de la pigmentation de leur peau. Mais à l’intérieur, ils et elles sont comme nous », ont déclaré les responsables de la fondation.
