Les représentants des associations estudiantines à la maison du peuple ce 21 juillet. L’objectif de leur visite, avoir des éclaircissements sur les conditions de leur apprentissage et naturellement, comprendre les tenants et les aboutissants de la dépénalisation de l’homosexualité, cette actualité qui continue de défrayer la chronique sur l’ensemble du territoire national. Faustin Boukoubi le Président de l’Assemblée Nationale en bon père de famille, a étanché la soif d’informations de ses visiteurs, non sans féliciter la démarche entreprise par ces derniers.
C’est dans le strict respect des mesures barrières, que la dizaine de représentants des associations estudiantines, a été reçue en audience par Faustin Boukoubi, le Président de l’Assemblée Nationale (PAN) qu’entouraient deux membres de son cabinet ; les Honorables Députés Malika Bongo Ondimba ; Frédéric Nzue Edzang ; Mesmin Wada ; Simplice Mouango Bounguendza.
Dans l’escarcelle de l’équipe conduite par Nicolas Ondo Obame et Carina Ngolet, les problèmes des étudiants au premier rang desquels, la porosité des franchises universitaires ; la suspension de la bourse d’études ; l’augmentation des droits universitaires ou frais d’écolage ; le non fonctionnement des résidences universitaires pour les étudiants de l’UOB en particulier ; l’absence d’infirmeries dans les universités et grandes écoles du pays ; l’insécurité tant au sein des temples du savoir que dans les quartiers avec pour origine, le fort taux de chômage des jeunes ; la faible capacité d’accueil des établissements et l’acte de naissance qui fait défaut à bon nombre de Gabonais. Une pile des questions sur ces préoccupations au Président de l’Assemblée Nationale et son équipe qui sans détour, ont apporté des éclaircissements à leurs invités.
Chemin faisant, il a été question d’évoquer la reprise des cours qui ne serait possible selon le collectif, que si certaines conditions sont remplies et à ce niveau, le Président de la maison du peuple en pédagogue et père de famille sensibilisera davantage son auditoire, lui demandant de d’opérer un choix qui lui est profitable « mes enfants, s’il y’a la moindre condition qui favorise la reprise des cours, reprenez. Visez votre intérêt, c’est le moindre mal » conseillera le PAN.
En deuxième heure, un déferlement de questions sur la loi relative à la dépénalisation de l’homosexualité. Les élus du peuple et le Président de l’institution vus par l’opinion du moins certains, comme étant à l’origine de cette loi qui fâche. Face à cela, le représentant du peuple recadre : « vous entendez des gens jeter l’opprobre sur l’Assemblée Nationale et Boukoubi(…) les députés n’ont pas accepté l’homosexualité car la question posée n’est pas : êtes-vous pour ou contre l’homosexualité ? La question qui est posée et sur laquelle les députés ont répondu est sur la dépénalisation : faut-il ou non emprisonner (5 ans) ou faire payer une amende (de 10 millions de FCFA) aux homosexuels » ? Pour le PAN qui se base sur le « PRAGMATISME », et bien la réponse est « Non ».
Une mauvaise interprétation des faits aurait pu faire rayer le disque dur de ces jeunes dont la démarche a permis de ne pas aller dans tous les sens, et adopter un comportement subversif.
C’est donc édifiés sur la question que les étudiants sont sortis de cette audience, tout en ayant à l’esprit que la pétition qui serait demandée aux uns et aux autres de signer pour dire non à loi querellée n’a aucun effet, le mode de la pétition étant inopérant dans le corpus juridique gabonais du fait de la difficulté à authentifier les signatures.
Ces jeunes épris de patriotisme et de paix ont promis faire bon usage des informations et enseignements reçus dans la maison peuple.
