Les étudiants du Gabon excédés par le manque de considération dont ils seraient victimes, devraient-ils se taire ou n’être que des béni oui-oui ? les franchises universitaires ne sont plus respectées, les forces de l’ordre pouvant entrer et sortir des universités à leur gré. Serait-ce un malheur d’être étudiant au Gabon ?
Ils étudient dans un environnement exigu pour le nombre qu’ils sont, ont des cours par intermittence et pour couronner le tout, les étudiants du Gabon ne perçoivent pas régulièrement leur allocation d’études pour ceux qui sont supposés l’avoir. C’est d’ailleurs cette dernière raison qui a orchestré tout le bruit que l’on observe ces derniers temps à l’université Omar Bongo. Ce phénomène est d’autant plus gênant que beaucoup de ces étudiants ne comptent que sur cette bourse pour vivre. Ces dernières heures, aucune activité ne s’y fait, les bombes assourdissantes et gaz lacrymogènes ayant rendu l’environnement invivable. Les conséquences de ce face à face sont désastreuses, les victimes étant aussi des élèves des établissements du premier degré, du secondaire et les habitants environnants. Quoi de plus normal pour ces étudiants que de réclamer leur « gros lot » ? S’ils sont considérés comme des personnes matures et dotées d’une certaine capacité de compréhension, pourquoi ne pas initier un dialogue avec eux, au lieu de provoquer un affrontement ? d’aucun disent que cette bourse « n’est pas un droit mais un accompagnement… ». Mais si cet accompagnement a été décidé par les pouvoirs publics, il devient un droit pour les bénéficiaires.
Serait-ce devenu un crime d’être étudiant au Gabon ? Les autorités compétentes annoncent le paiement de la bourse querellée de manière graduelle. Les étudiants ne perdent rien à attendre.
