Tenue ce mercredi 9 juin au somptueux musée de Libreville, de la réunion du premier comité de pilotage du projet FSPI MUSEOGAB cofinancé à hauteur de 552 315 327 francs CFA par l’Ambassade de France, l’Agence Française de Développement le ministère Gabonais de la culture. Ce projet vise la conservation et la valorisation des biens culturels et donc, le retour au pays, des œuvres d’arts tant attendus.
Michel MENGA M’ESSONE et Philippe AUTIE respectivement Ministre Gabonais de la culture et Ambassadeur de France au Gabon ont coprésidé le premier comité de pilotage du projet FSPI MUSEOGAB en vue de redonner à la culture gabonaise à travers ses œuvres d’art longtemps restées hors des frontières nationales, la place qui est la leur.
Cette révolution de la culture par la promotion du musée national a mobilisé les experts Français et africains, ainsi que le Recteur de l’Université Omar Bongo, le Professeur Mesmin Noël SOUMAHO dont l’institution constitue un incubateur de la ressource humaine nécessaire pour mener à bien ce projet de grande envergure.
Pour Michel MENGA M’ESSONE, « ce musée existe mais n’est pas connu. Nous envisageons donc de le faire connaître et nous ne pouvons pas le faire seul en tant que ministre, nous devons le faire avec les acteurs qui sont ici, les gens qui font vivre ce musée, et nous envisageons donc de l’inaugurer mais pour que cela soit possible, il y’a un certain nombre d’actions que nous allons mener ».
Aux dires du numéro un de la culture gabonaise, il est question du rapatriement des œuvres africaines qui sont disséminées à travers le monde, mais « l’un des problèmes qui se pose et qui nous a souvent été rappelé, c’est de nous dire, si ces œuvres venaient à arriver chez vous, avez-vous des structures appropriées pour pouvoir les conserver ? » désormais, cette question n’aura plus lieu d’être, avec les locaux d’une grande beauté ; les ressources humaines en préparation à l’Université Omar Bongo et l’appui technique et financier de la France.
Ce projet qui durera 24 mois a pour objectif, « de faire porter la voix du Gabon dans le débat international sur la circulation des biens culturels… pour que le Gabon soit représenté dans les grands évènements internationaux et pourquoi pas, en premier lieu lors de la journée sur la restitution et la coopération patrimoniale et culturelle avec l’Afrique qui se tiendra dans le cadre du nouveau sommet Afrique-France à l’automne prochain», a expliqué Philippe AUTIE.
