Le Professeur Albert Ondo Ossa estime qu’il faille trouver des solutions idoines aux problèmes des gabonais notamment, les injustices sociales ; les infrastructures tant scolaires qu’hospitalières qui font cruellement défaut ; la cherté de la vie ; le problème des retraités maltraités et le gel des recrutements qui est une mesure suicidaire, etc. Souhaitant apporter sa pierre à l’édifice, « je m’engage à redresser le Gabon si les gabonais m’en donnent les moyens », a-t-il promis.
Cette déclaration a naturellement suscité des interrogations de la part des journalistes, étant entendu que le Pr. Kombila a fait un témoignage poignant, tout en donnant quelques orientation pour soutenir l’action d’Ondo Ossa : « quand on me demande si je suis candidat, non, si plusieurs gabonais qui ont des partis se prononcent comme le Pr. Kombila, ce n’est pas moi qui parlerais mais c’est eux qui diront aux Gabonais, nous faisons du Pr. Albert Ondo Ossa, notre candidat, c’est ce que je souhaite », a déclaré Ondo Ossa.
Avant de préciser : « pour ma part c’est proposer un projet. Mais ce projet n’est pas fini, il doit être enrichit de vos contributions vous journalistes qui fréquentez tous les milieux, qui servez d’interface, qui côtoyez les hommes politiques du pouvoir comme de l’opposition, chacun d’entre eux a une contribution à apporter, car il ne s’agit pas d’un problème personnel : on ne peut pas y aller seul, il s’agit du problème de notre pays qui est devenu une honte internationale », a-t-il déclaré.
La Balkanisation étant la pire des choses en pareille circonstance, le Professeur Albert Ondo Ossa a fait une suggestion : « Prenons le défi de redresser notre pays mais ce redressement passe par la contribution de chacun, d’abord une contribution intellectuelle, le Gabon a des cadres formés dans tous les domaines. Ensuite une contribution financière, car si chacun donne 1000 ou 2000F CFA, nous y arriverons ».
Le 17 août pointant à l’horizon, il convient de regarder dans le rétroviseur : « que ce 62ème anniversaire nous donne l’occasion de nous regarder et de bien voir ce qu’est devenu notre pays aujourd’hui, par rapport à ce que nous souhaitons ».
