Le thème « santé mentale est un droit humain et universelle » vient à propos, si l’on tient compte des déclarations de Yoleine Lechambou épouse N’dong Mba la Présidente de l’association ANDAS pour qui « malgré l’absence des chiffres officiels , nous pouvons affirmer que dans notre pays, plusieurs cas de suicide et de dépression nerveuse sont enregistrés chaque année, et concerne les personnes que tout âge ».
Ajoutant que » le mois de la santé mentale est pour ANDAS , l’opportunité de mettre en lumière de nombreux exemples de bonnes pratiques pour vulgariser les maux touchant à la santé mentale et au bien-être , pour prévenir ou traiter efficacement la morbidité mentale » .
Le docteur Reine Dopé Koumou épouse Ambourouet, quant à elle a expliqué que » 970 million de personnes souffrent de troubles manteaux à travers le monde ». Elle a donc conseillé » d’éviter les pathologies chroniques en identifiant à temps les signes d’alerte » qui peuvent être comportementaux par la consommation des drogues et stupéfiants, l’habillement et coiffures non conformes, le fait de s’isoler, et parler seul.
Animant le thème accompagnement des familles, Aurélia Lebonda Massala la Secrétaire Générale de l’UOB a fait un plaidoyer, demandant aux autorités de la transition, « la création d’un Centre d’écoute au sein des universités qui seraient animés par les psychologues » , l’urgence étant signalée à l’Université Omar Bongo où elle exerce depuis quatre ans .
La cerise sur le gâteau, l’intervention du docteur Wenceslas Yaba, le Conseiller spécial du Président de la transition dont les actions au niveau du Samu Social ne sont plus à démonter. Pour appuyer l’action d’ANDAS, il a mis à disposition, deux véhicules, des médicaments, des vêtements, un médecin et des infirmiers pour sillonner les quartiers et prendre en charge les victimes, et interner ceux qui doivent l’être à Melen: une action saluée par tous, et qui durera tout le mois de janvier.
