En prélude aux trois élections que le Gabon organise cette année, le Chef du Département de l’Intérieur Lambert-Noël Matha a tenu à procéder au lancement de la révision du fichier électoral dont les opérations sont prévues pour le 9 mai prochain, démontrant par la même occasion, de l’importance de cette opération en ces termes,« pas de liste électorale, pas d’élection quel que soit le pays », a signifié le Ministre d’État, Ministre de l’Intérieur.
Ainsi, selon les déclarations de Lambert-Noël Matha le Ministre d’État, Ministre de l’Intérieur, du 9 mai au 7 juin 2023, cette opération va battre son plein sur l’ensemble du territoire national et pour cela, il est important, voir nécessaire « de sensibiliser les gabonais en âge de voter; les gabonais ont besoin d’informations, ils ont besoin d’être bien informés et d’être bien orientés pendant les 30 jours que durera la révision de la liste électorale ».

« Il est autorisé à partir de cette révision aux primo-électeurs, de changer de centre de vote ou de circonscription électorale sans se déplacer ». Il en est de même pour les gabonais vivant à l’étranger et désireux de voter au Gabon et pour cela, il leur suffira de s’inscrire au lieu où ils se trouve ensuite, procéder au changement, a laissé entendre Lambert-Noël Matha.
Concernant les détenus, ces derniers ne pourraient nullement s’inscrire sur la liste électorale mais pour les autres gabonais en âge de voter, ils sont invités à se rendre dans les centres d’enrôlement que sont les Mairies et pour faciliter la procédure, « des équipes mobiles iront auprès des populations » de l’arrière pays singulièrement.
Il est donc recommandé de ne pas attendre le dernier jour pour vérifier sa situation, le faire plus tôt éviterait des surprises désagréables au moment du scrutin.
