Le vendredi 28 juillet 2023 à Libreville, le premier ministre Chef du gouvernement a convié les représentants du corps diplomatique dans l’optique de les rassurer sur les dispositions prises par le gouvernement de la République afin d’assurer au pays un scrutin conformes aux lois et aux dispositions légales.
l’occasion état indiquée pour rappeler le processus mis en place de commun accord avec les différentes parties et en toute transparence ce, afin de mieux organiser les élections générales du mois d’aout prochain au Gabon.
Cette rencontre qui intervient à quelques semaines de l’ouverture de la campagne électorale avait pour but de dissiper les doutes et de rassurer les uns et les autres sur certains points afin d’aborder de la manière la plus sereine ce rendez-vous important.
Aussi tout en appelant à la stricte neutralité des représentations diplomatique, le Chef du gouvernement a tenue à rappeler que l’élection présidentielle est un rendez-vous important et salutaire pour une nation.
Au cours de cette rencontre, le Premier ministre a donné la place à son Ministre d’État et ministre de l’intérieur qui a fait un récapitulatif des différentes expériences qu’a connu le Gabon en matière d’organisation d’élection. Un exposé qui a permis de démontrer la démarche participative au fil du temps des différentes parties et qui a laissé voir un mécanisme huilé en matière d’organisation.
